The factory
A family name on the label
RODA is short for four names. Roberto Pompa started the company in 1991 and took RO from his own name and his wife Rosaria's, DA from their sons Daniele and Davide. The business is still run by the Pompa family, from headquarters in Gavirate and a production site in Bodio Lomnago, both on Lake Varese north of Milan.
From the start the idea was to furnish a garden with the care usually given to a living room. Rodolfo Dordoni joined in 2005, first as a designer and then as art director, and RODA showed at the Salone del Mobile in Milan for the first time that year. Today about 100 people make RODA patio furniture and RODA garden furniture for homes and hotels.

Tap the plus signs
RODA photographs its collections outside, in real light, so you can judge scale before you ask for a price. The plus signs mark Harp chairs by Rodolfo Dordoni around a Teka dining table.
Every piece is priced on its own. Mix a lounge chair with dining chairs from the same family, or pair Harp with a table from another RODA collection.
