RODA Norma modular outdoor kitchen
RODA Norma brings cooking onto the terrace. Designed by Rodolfo Dordoni, it is RODA's modular outdoor kitchen: a gas cooking module, a sink module and an extension that turns into a counter for prep or for stools. The parts share the smoke steel finish found across RODA furniture, so the kitchen sits comfortably next to a sofa or a dining table.
Modular outdoor kitchen
Three modules, one counter
The cooking module carries a five-burner gas hob in polished stainless steel. A double-crown burner with Dual technology sits in the center, two compact burners in front and two medium ones behind. Below the hob are larch slat shelves and a bar for hanging tools. The module stands alone, on fixed feet or on castors, and it is sized to roll under the counter of the island when the cooking is done.
The sink module is the anchor. It holds an AISI 304 stainless steel sink set into a top of Lapitec sintered stone in the tone called Mole, with a powder coated steel faucet. Its doors come in smoke, milk or rust, while the body stays smoke. The extension module attaches to the sink module with the same stone top, and it adds either more work surface or a counter where guests can sit and watch.
Materials were picked for an open-air kitchen. Stainless steel resists corrosion and wipes clean, the powder coat protects the frame from sun and damp, and the sintered stone top does not stain easily. Larch appears in the shelves and in two cutting boards that double as trays. A stainless steel grill plate and a protective lid are also offered.
A small terrace may need only the cooking and sink modules side by side. A large garden can add the extension, a few bar stools and a dining set close by. Norma is Italian outdoor furniture in the working sense: a kitchen made by RODA to be used every evening of the summer.
